Hi, I'm Sabine
Freelance UX Designer in Berlin – thoughtful, pragmatic, and always curious
Curiosity Meets a Keyboard
As a kid, I was always observing—asking why, trying to understand how things worked. That mindset found a new outlet when we got our first PC. I was so captivated that I read my dad's entire Windows 3.1 manual, cover to cover. Funny, considering how little love I have for Windows these days.
Education & Early Experience
- Studied Interface Design at Hochschule Anhalt, UdK Berlin & HTW Berlin (Diplom)
- Interned at Less Rain in London
- Interned at Plumb Design / Thinkmap in New York City
- Worked at init (Berlin) on large digital platforms for government and public services
- Trained to become a Usability Consultant at artop (Humboldt University)
What Drives My Work
- Empathy: I listen first
- Minimalism: "If nobody misses it, it can go"
- Accessibility: A continuous, intentional practice
- Clarity: "Don't make me think" is always top of mind
- Communication: "You cannot not communicate"—every detail speaks
My Approach
I believe in a collaborative, user-centered design process. I'm not just a designer—I'm a problem solver who uses design as a tool. I work closely with stakeholders and users to ensure that every solution is both beautiful and functional.
Beyond the Screen
When I'm not designing, you'll find me exploring Berlin's vibrant art scene, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, or planning my next adventure. I believe that diverse experiences fuel creativity and bring fresh perspectives to my work.
Let's Connect
I'm always excited to hear about new projects and opportunities. Whether you have a specific project in mind or just want to chat about design, I'd love to hear from you.
